Renée Touzin

President and CEO

Renée Touzin has more than 20 years’ experience with GIRO, joining the company after obtaining her master’s degree in computer science and operations research from Université de Montréal. Throughout her career, she has distinguished herself by leading the accomplishment of major projects in the European and South American markets. She has shown inspiring leadership in a range of roles as a business analyst, project manager, and executive.

David Fabi

Senior Vice President of Technology

David Fabi’s responsibilities include leading the development of the HASTUS software suite and overseeing advances in the IT infrastructure and delivery pipelines through which GIRO’s solutions are deployed. He has spearheaded GIRO’s significant expansion of its portfolio of software applications, as well as the addition of award-winning Web and mobile platforms. Prior to joining GIRO in 1998, he worked for an IT applied-research institute. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science from Concordia University.

Robert Victor

Vice President – HASTUS, North America and Australia

Robert Victor oversees HASTUS project activities in the North American and Australian markets, and he also has executive responsibility for GIRO’s Project Management Office, which provides guidance and sets standards in project management, performance, and quality for GIRO’s project teams to follow in all markets. He joined GIRO in 1999. He holds a B.Eng. in Civil Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Montréal.

François Fortin

Vice President – HASTUS, Europe and South America

François Fortin has executive responsibility for HASTUS project activities in the European and South American markets. His career of more than 20 years at GIRO has involved almost every aspect of HASTUS development and implementation. He began his career in algorithm and scheduling-module development. He then held a range of roles in HASTUS projects for bus and rail in Europe and Australia; sales; and senior management of HASTUS projects in Australia and for SNCF. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Université de Sherbrooke.

Caroline Perreault, CPA, CA

Vice President – Corporate Services

Caroline Perreault has executive responsibility for all GIRO’s financial and administrative activities. She joined GIRO in 2012. Her prior experience includes senior management and consulting roles in a range of industries. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting from HEC Montréal and is a member of the Order of Chartered Professional Accountants of Québec.

Mathieu Bourassa

Vice President – Development

Mathieu Bourassa is responsible for the strategic and operational organization of the teams devoted to development of the HASTUS applications. He joined GIRO in 2001, and he has held several management positions in the company’s Development and Technology sector, where he has contributed to the expansion of GIRO’s portfolio of public transit software applications. He holds a B.Sc. in Psychology from UQAM and a B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Montréal.

Éric Lebel

Vice President – Market Strategy, Sales and Marketing

Éric Lebel oversees GIRO’s commercial activities. He joined GIRO in 1996 and he has held the positions of Head of Product Development, Senior Project Manager and Director for Public Transit. He supervises a multinational team and sees to the positioning of HASTUS and GIRO on the international market. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science from Université de Sherbrooke.

Francis Demers

Senior Director – Australia and Canada

In addition to overseeing HASTUS project activities in the Australian and Canadian markets, Francis Demers has executive responsibility for HASTUS-OnDemand and product-integration activities worldwide. He first joined GIRO in 1999. He holds an M.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Montréal and an MBA from HEC Montréal.

Pierre Cossette

Senior Director – GeoRoute

Pierre Cossette oversees the development and project-implementation activities of GeoRoute, GIRO’s product for postal operations. He has more than 25 years of experience in managing large-scale projects to enable postal organizations to optimize their operations. He joined GIRO in 1989. He holds a B.Sc. in Computer Science and Operations Research from the University of Montréal.

Tania Friedrich

Senior Director – Human Resources

With more than 25 years of experience in Human Resources, Tania Friedrich has developed solid expertise in global human resources management as Senior Director at Cirque du Soleil and Vice President of Human Resources at SNC-Lavalin before taking on the role of Senior Director of HR at GIRO. She is a graduate of the Université de Sherbrooke in Vocational Guidance.
