This statement applies to the protection of personal data collected by GIRO Inc./Le Groupe en Informatique et Recherche Opérationnelle (“GIRO”) having a place of business at 5800, Saint-Denis Street, Suite 1102, City of Montréal, Province of Québec, Canada H2S 3L5, in collaboration with its entities worldwide (hereafter jointly “GIRO Group”), in connection with surveys carried out among its clients and partners.
- Purpose and legal basis of processing personal data
Your personal data is used by GIRO to process your answers to GIRO’s surveys, to analyse your feedback as part of the enhancement of customer experience and the improvement of GIRO’s products, and to contact you in relation to such feedback. We process your personal data based on your consent. Your personal data is not subject to automated decision-making.
- Personal-data recipients
In order to carry out the processing detailed above, it is possible that we communicate your personal data to collaborators in the GIRO Group who are involved in the process of conducting the surveys, analyzing the results and incorporating the feedback.
Your personal data is stored on servers located in Canada.
European Union nationals only: Canada is deemed to offer a sufficient level of data protection according to European Commission Decision 2002/2/EC. The United States are deemed to offer a sufficient level of data protection according to European Commission Decision C (2023) 4745.

Your personal data may be transferred to countries where GIRO Group entities operate which (i) are deemed to offer a sufficient level of data protection recognized by the European Commission or (ii) provide a sufficient level of protection via contractual obligations setting out relevant safeguard(s).

Your personal data will be deleted as soon as possible after the purpose for which it is collected has been achieved or as provided by applicable regulations.
