November 2011 – This fall, GIRO held its HASTUS User Groups in three regions: Helsinki, Finland; Rotterdam, The Netherlands; and Geneva, Switzerland. In total, the three events attracted more than 285 people from 81 companies and 14 countries.
HASTUS User Groups enable participants to broaden their knowledge of HASTUS through presentations by GIRO and through peer discussions that occur over several days. This year’s presentations updated participants on the various enhancements made to the HASTUS 2011 software solution, including:
Other GIRO presentations outlined various new functionalities planned for the 2012 version of HASTUS. In addition, round-table discussions uncovered key themes such as the growing need for features designed for intelligent mobile devices, as well as a personalized approach to operator work assignment. This type of direct exchange initiative with participants is highly beneficial in helping shape GIRO’s R&D roadmap for short- and mid-term product development.
This year, client presentations were given by representatives of Helsingin Bussiliikenne Oy, consulting firms CENTIGO and SAPIGO, De Lijn, Rotterdamse Elektrische Tram (RET), Transports publics genevois (TPG), TRANSDATA, and the Société de Transport Intercommunaux de Bruxelles (STIB).
GIRO extends its thanks to the aforementioned representatives and to all the delegates who participated in the 2011 HASTUS User Groups. The continued interest and input of our clients contributes greatly to the success of these meetings and to the evolution of our HASTUS software.
