GIRO named regional winner of the Desjardins Entrepreneur Award – International Commerce for Western Québec and Ontario
GIRO is pleased to announce that the company has won the Western Quebec and Ontario regional round of the Desjardins Entrepreneur Awards in the International Commerce category. In this category, the jury primarily focused on achievements connected with the strategy for accessing international markets; the results of international business activities; market diversification; and the company’s financial soundness.
Supported by the expertise of 375 employees, GIRO’s software solutions for public transit and postal services are in use by organizations located around the globe. Over 80% of the Montréal-based company’s sales come from international markets, with a client base spread across 26 countries.
“For more than 35 years, GIRO has been developing its international presence thanks to the quality of our products and the expertise of our employees,” said Paul Hamelin, GIRO’s President. “Above all, it is our long-term vision and commitment that set us apart and enable us to win our clients’ lasting confidence.”
As a regional winner, GIRO will go forward to the national final, which will be held this November.
