California Transit Industry Gets Preview of LA Metro’s Use of HASTUS Planning Platform
GIRO and the Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transportation Authority (Metro) have been invited to participate in the Innovation Theater to be presented on October 25, 2018, at the California Transit Association’s Fall Conference & Expo in Long Beach, USA. The Theater’s purpose is to allow representatives of the transit industry in California to see first-hand how selected innovative products will “transform public transit by redesigning the future in order to stay relevant”.
Presenters from Metro and GIRO will describe how, with the HASTUS Planning Platform, Metro is redesigning and restructuring its network to create a system that attracts current and future customers (details here). The presenters will showcase various functionalities of the software and explain how the product will be used by Metro for its NextGen Bus Study, which will reimagine and restructure Metro’s bus network, with a new generation of bus service going into effect in the autumn of 2019.
