- Our HASTUS software for fixed-route public transit offers a modular solution for planning and analysis, scheduling, operations, and passenger information & relations. With over 250 client sites in 25 countries, HASTUS is used by transit authorities ranging in size from 20 to over 6,500 vehicles/rail cars, including installations in Montréal, Los Angeles, Chicago, New York, Barcelona, Brussels, Geneva, Hamburg, Stockholm, Vienna,Singapore, and Sydney. Corporate solutions are also provided to private operators such as Connexxion, Keolis, Nobina and Veolia Transdev. Bus, tram, metro, light rail, commuter rail, and ferry operations are all addressed using a flexible set of tools and a common database, allowing improved synchronization of various transit modes.
- For paratransit or demand response transit services, our GIRO/ACCES software can be used to manage customer registration and reservations, build and optimize schedules, and manage daily operations. Installations include Montréal’s STM and Toronto’s TTC, where the software processes more than 8,000 trips per day with significant productivity gains, while reducing customer wait time on the phone and refused rides.
- GIRO's GeoRoute software is used by postal administrations to plan and optimize the collection and delivery of mail and parcels. Internationally, GeoRoute is the most widely used routing software in the postal sector with installations at An Post (Ireland), bpost (Belgium), Canada Post, Deutsche Post (Germany), PostNL (Netherlands), Posten (Norway), Royal Mail (United Kingdom), and Swiss Post (Switzerland), and GeoRoute is also successfully applied to other operations with similar requirements, such as school transportation, waste collection, and meter reading.
Today, GIRO Inc. employs approximately 250 full-time staff in our Montréal offices. Close ties with Montréal's research centers, universities, and colleges ensure the continued superiority of our optimization tools. In addition, GIRO has earned an excellent reputation for timely delivery of proven software and the quality of our post-implementation support.
